Description

Beautiful map showing the islands forming the Hawaiian archipelago, drawn up during Cook's third voyage: Oneeheow or Ni'ihau, Atooi or Kauai, Woahoo or O'ahu, Morotoi or Moloka'i, Ranai or Lanai, Mowee or Maui, and finally Owhyhee, current Hawaii.

The route of the Resolution is indicated by a continuous line, with the chronology of the route between November 26, 1778 and March 15, 1779.

Inset with the bay of Kealakekua, formerly Karakakooa, located west of the island of 'Hawaii. It was in this bay that the massacre of Captain Cook by natives took place on February 14, 1779.
